ODSA 2000

This conference will be held at the University of Rostock, the oldest university in Northern Europe, founded in 1419. The old Hanseatic town Rostock is located about 200 km north of Berlin at the Baltic coast in the former East Germany.

In our ODSA conference series, emphasis is directed to the interactions between several aspects of Discrete Mathematics, Mathematical Optimization and Theoretical Computer Science.

The conference is devoted to Combinatorial optimization and algorithms on discrete structures, Extremal problems in posets, Design theory, Coding theory, Cryptography, Graph theory, Complexity theory and related topics.

Programme  

The conference will start on Monday morning and end on Wednesday afternoon. In the morning sessions we will have the talks of the invited speakers, while the afternoons are for the contributed talks (25 min each) in parallel sections.

A copy of the preliminary programme is now available.

On Monday evening there will be a reception on a river-boat, and on Tuesday evening you may enjoy a little concert in the big hall of the university.

Accommodation  

Hotel rooms and private accommodations of different price categories can be reserved via the Rostock-Information office. To reserve a room, you should send a signed hardcopy of the Room Reservation Form to us, or directly to the Rostock-Information office. Note that we cannot accept Room Reservations sent by e-mail. The deadline is June 30.

How to get to Rostock  

Rostock can be reached from Berlin, Hamburg or Frankfurt (airports TXL, HAM or FRA) by frequent trains departing usually in a two-hour-tact from Berlin, Zoologischer Garten, or Hamburg, Hauptbahnhof, or Frankfurt, Flughafen, respectively.

Conference Office  

On sunday:
The conference office will be located in the restaurant "Olympia", Freiligrathstrasse 4. The conference office will be open from 5 pm to 10 pm. There you will receive the conference materials as well as you may have dinner.

From monday to wednesday:
On these days, the office will be open from 8 am to 6 pm in the main building of the university, Room 31.

Proceedings  

There will be a special issue of DISCRETE APPLIED MATHEMATICS with papers related to the conference and refereed according to the usual procedures. The deadline for submission will be October 31, 2000. Submissions during the conference are very welcome.
